Has anyone noticed how these things are getting way worse? Barely any flavour anymore :( Not buying my BBQ anymore

Ahhh those! Don't eat them, stuffed full of things not found in nature, not a fan of eating things I can't pronounce! :-)

My boys wont touch them anymore.. try the new Delites by Fantastic. Awesome flavour, melt in your mouth and roughly the same price. (cheaper when on sale) .. the flame grilled BBQ is to die for. ;-)

Shapes used to be 200g boxes, now they're 160-190g. And not any cheaper, of course :p

It's happening to everything. I've noticed the rolls of toilet papaer I usually buy are 20 meters shorter, but still cost the same. :-(

Saw the ad c=for Cravers last night.

Can't believe it's taken them this long to bring out a competitor for Shapes, they have been around for ever.

Reading this thread I have this feeling there's a marketing ploy at work here.

Now excuse me, I have to go and buy some more Multix brand aluminium foil. Yes, only Multix has the right density and strength required by a true geek to make quality tinfoil hats. I have always trusted Multix and find the quality of other foils has gone down in recent years (but the price hasn't!)

Haha thats a pretty interesting thing to notice, not a bad idea if you're a TP manufacturer I can't say that I notice the length of it too much.
And wtf Mackin I didn't notice that, this one's 175g, so did they used to be 200g?

It is interesting about food shrinking, becuase obviously most manufacturers are now doing it, as it is a way to increase prices, without actually putting the price up. However I wonder if the food price index actually takes this sort of thing into account, and whether food inflation is actually worse than it appears.

I remmber when large bags of chips were 220 grams, and they have now shrunk slowly over the years to 150grams, but the prices has gone up a bit.

That's actually a really good point, easy to claim food prices are steadier than they are if you're giving much less... Anyway interesting that others have noticed this about shapes, kind of a double kick in the guts to make them worse and give you less :(
