Anyone able to recommend some USA based Credit/Debit cards, valid on USA websites?

I am off to the US, and having trouble on some sites getting it to accept my NZ CC because I don't have a US Billing address on that card. Ideally I am looking for something that will work everywhere in the US, have low fee's and has a valid US billing address.

How do you guys normally handle that stuff?

Walmart takes Paypal but it refused that as it was topped off with a NZ Credit Card!

You can buy stuff through Comgateway but it will cost you an additional 10%

Yah 10% is pretty high fee's. Plus I bet they have crappy exchange rates too.

They charge it to your credit card so much the same as using a card direct.

I am subscribed to Netflix with my NZ Credit card. It was accepted, but I am still on the free trial so they have not deducted antyhing yet. Hopefully it works. Trying to find a service to pay for Hulu+, tried my NZ card and that did not work.

Yes. Astrill or Witopia are two of the best services I have used.

Do whatever you want to do man.

I'm using Astrill. Netflix extremely well via my PS3. I just wish I could pay for the Hulu+ subscription.

Netflix worked with my NZ Visa for past the end of my free trial, used it for about 3-4 months through VPN so you shouldn't have a problem with your card being accepted.

Also I read somewhere that once the Video starts playing you can drop the VPN and it will keep streaming and loading the rest of it, then if your VPN happens to be slow for one reason or another you can use your normal connection after choosing the video and it starting.

Hulu Plus was my first choice too but couldn't be bothered with the US credit card needed.

Whilst we are on this subject has anyone managed to get a us iTunes account with a virtual credit card like entropay? Unfortunately entropay does not provide a us mailing address so iTunes will not accept the card. I have been purchasing us iTunes gift cards. It would be cheaper to use a virtual credit or similar.

I've been buying iTunes (US) cards for a while from a few different sites. Recently I discovered that Best Buy (www.bestbuy.com) sell the cards online with digital delivery.

I picked one up while they were running a special and the process was fine (using my NZ debit Visa).

Bestbuy sell at face value so no additioanl costs other than exchange rate

Let us know what the quality is like with Netflix via apple tv. I have found the quality to be fairly average running through my htpc. I have a fairly quick Internet connection but have never been able to get netflix to stream in hd.

Entropay requires documentation from you - including evidence of address, so how can you get a US-based credit card?

On another hand, there's a discussion about a third party providing credit cards that work with Hulu and other services.
