Paul Henry is now hosting the Channel 10 Breakfast news over the puddle here in Aus.

Not doing so well so far.

Shall we run a book on how long it takes him to upset Australian audiences?

Looks like I'm not watching 10's breakfast programme - my preference is to ignore the irritating man!!

He just says what the rest of us are thinking...go Paul!

Lazy is such an ugly word, I prefer to call it selective participation

I never thought Kofi Annan was a "cheeky darkie"

Upset the country that continues to listen to Kyle Sandilands on the radio?

What is the longest time you are taking?

What was the original audience for shortland streets first year...

From what I saw, it looked good, and remember that there are already other programs at this time, so viewers have to move from their existing show to watch it.

Australia is not exactly known for being as PC as NZ has become in recent years, although they're slowly getting there - I suspect he'll be fine.

Regardless, I find him awful. My true opinion would probably be regarded as slanderous, so I'll keep it to myself.

Um.. that wasn't Paul Henry - that was Paul Holmes. Close... but not close enough Laughing

I don't listen to him either - then again I'm not a native Aussie.

Very embarrased about that...

Perhaps I should have quoted about the Governor Genral, or the lady from Greenpeace, or even the Indian Diplomat.

Have you ever seen them both in the same place at the same time?  I have my suspicions...

So, they managed to get an audiance of 51,000 starting un-anounced when they weren't due to start for another week?

I'd have to say those numbers look alright.

And from what I've heard he's already polarizing people. So people are going to watch to love him, and watch to have something to complain about. Win win.

The same reason people watch things like Jersey Shore I guess. Some people just have broken filters.

A little pre-emptive considering he's only been on air two days?
