It's probably direct from Dell (via DBSchenker).

We buy Dell from Dell, doesn't go via Dicker or Ingram.

so they dispatch internationally each and every large order? (Large being not your usual domestic order of one PC etc).
I would have thought one or more of the above two companies mentioned would be the local managed warehouse / distributor and simply dispatch orders on behalf of?

Most NZ orders come overnight from AU. Or used to when I was tied up with a global company ordering from them.

Seemed to get shipped from a warehouse in AU, straight to Courierpost and turn up at my desk.

You said there was a Dell broker's name on the paperwork. If they initiated the order why not contact them? If they aren't an authorised reseller Dell may not even have a contract with you hence the lack of interest from their call centre.

I meant shift the responsibility. You have done everything that might reasonably be expected of you. The next time a delivery shows up, if one does, just say drop it wherever you like but I am not signing anything.
