Yes the blue car goes first, even when both the red and blue cars are turning right.

Don't really see any issue remembering this one - still works like a roundabout. I haven't seen any intersections like this for a while that don't at least have a white circle painted in the middle, effectively turning them into mini-roundabouts.

I honestly cant see how the new rules can be confusing. Its only going back to what we had before and is more common sense and really is less confusing than the present ones. Thats why Australia went back to it in 1993 but New Zealand stuck with it. It will also be easier for tourists coming in as it is what they are used to as well.

Here is the confusing bit. Have not seen one of these intersections anywhere except for maybe out on a farm in some remote place. Don't think its anything to worry about.

Imagine traffic lights which have failed, same deal. Blue has right of way, give way to right, imagine there is a roundabout - also take great care and try to avoid the intersection, because while you, and I know what to do, 95% of the population have no clue.

It wasn't 'Australia' it was Victoria; and there it was only adopted because it was hoped it would help with traffic issues related to the Melbourne trams (it didn't).

The new rules are easy to remember, if they are turning next to the curb, they have right of way from the 25th. I did the quiz and got the 8/9 the roundabout got me, since as long as I have been driving, first to the enter the roundabout has right of way, and since I have the fastest car, get out of my way :)

Enjoyed that, the two cyclist questions were great. I only wish they had included a roundabout and a driveway exit to get across the idea the give way to the right rule still applies.

Because it demonstrates the new rule from 25th march.

Both cars belong to the company producing the training video by the way. But yes.. it is filmed on public roads before the 25th obviously..

yes I am aware it was Victoria and as far as I am aware Victoria is still in Australia and havent defected.
