Maybe. I've seen some weird ones that use Ethernet cables, although I'm not sure how many displays they can actually drive.

I meant shift the responsibility. You have done everything that might reasonably be expected of you. The next time a delivery shows up, if one does, just say drop it wherever you like but I am not signing anything.

thanks for the support. i am sure more stuff will show up. if they are RAMs, SSDs, GPUs and Laptops ... we might have a winner!

How good would it be to receive a boatload of RAM.
It would be like hitting the jackpot at the casino!

well in the meantime another courier tried to give me 2 monitors, i went to the office and they have since told me it was supposed to go to invercargill city council

so they actually are real orders, just for some reason sent to me

this courier is not the one that had all the pallets though

anyway a kind member has put me in touch with dell and i've told dell what's going on

i have not heard from dell but i presume someone/something is just randomly putting my name and address on everything that is going everywhere else

how strange and disturbing at the same time

sadly not strange. have heard of a few stories and was on the receiving end of one. its more of an abusive quit quitting thing.

some companies systems are so bad they can't fix the cause.

I really thought that 2k/4k monitors are the bare minimum at the moment. Didn't know they still make 1080 monitors!

We have higher ones at work and most of the people have cranked it to 125 or 150% scaling so they can see it, so it's all wasted. One also has the scaling in the accounting software turned up and cant fit all the columns needed in. Ugh.

I imagine they have a selling point of lower energy consumption.

For me personally though I'm a high resolution fan for sure. For nearly 12 years now I've been daily driving a Dell UP2715K 5K monitor. It occasionally has a line down the screen when I turn it on (have to turn it off and back on again to remove the line), but it's otherwise going very well.
