Im not having much luck
2 orders with different aliexpress sellers, both still stuck in China after 4weeks

2 orders with a different online Ch seller (not Ali based) , 3 weeks to get here via UBI .

Has anyone ordered anything from the USA recently ?
Im wondering if UPS & USPS and sending stuff quickly or still in a Covid slowdown

I'm still not sure why anybody is surprised that there are still major global issues with the mail system because we're still in the middle of a global pandemic...

DHL from the US is fine and has been for months - the usual 3-5 days from shipping to delivery in NZ.

I've got a couple of things that have now been "accepted by last mile carrier" in the last week.

One was ordered on Sept 3rd, the other on Sept 20th. Both sent via standard shipping (15-20 days).

I think I'm done with Aliexpress until the shipping is close to what they advertise again.

Two Amazon orders arrived 13 and 9 days early, the most recent arriving this morning.

You should check the relevant Websites to see if there are any service alerts for New Zealand. There aren't any for USPS, but give the reduction in flights, I would assume the transit time to be at the high end of any estimates.

Flights from Singapore are good indication.
With most parcels are sent from Chines ports which don't have frequent direct flights to Auckland, a big part of them are transited through Singapore.
In pre-covid, there are 3-4 daily flights between Singapore and Auckland. Now, it is around 5-weekly.
Ordinary parcel never rank high in priority, with such a decrease in flight frequency, you can imagine the queue of parcels for flights.

Btw, Ali Standard begins to use UBI shipping (tracking numbers started with 9109). The magic 7-day shipping I had back in July has transformed to 3-week-plus and still waiting.

Tips: if you have the choice (and don't want to pay for DHL), choose CN Post's shipping. They ain't fast but are more predictable.

Even Aliexpress standard shipping takes 50+ days now. Avoiding Ali these day and buying from trademe.

I can imagine it will will be disaster in 11.11.  This was 2 years ago: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zjdpz05u2DY

Agreed. I’ve got several packages coming via Ali Standard Shipping and they are way over usual timing of 3-4 weeks. They don’t appear to be tracked once they leave China either.

I would expect 11.11 orders to arrive in around 90 days, but won't be surprised if they go up to 4-5 months.

So, I would save money for Black Friday instead.

Just got something from Shezhen that took five days to get here via DHL. Ordered direct from Lenovo though, not Aliexpress.

I've spent all my money on gaming consoles so will be sitting out 11:11 this year. Probably for the best since things are just taking too long and I am forgetting why I bought them when they arrive.

I've just gotten the fishing rod that I ordered. Delivery was with China Post and took exactly a month to get here. Pretty good.

One item I am waiting on was shipped with Singapore Post and is still on the way, but shows now "accepted by last mile carrier". Ordered it 25/09

Couple of items come with China Post that have arrived in NZ but must be stuck at the border.

I have another item with Canaio, which is probably stuck somewhere, because the tracking hasn't changed since September.

I am going to order some more stuff during the 11/11 sale. Most of it will be with China post, which seems to be working ok or at least better than others.

I have had stuff with last mile carrier since end of July. I won't be buying anything from Aliexpress until shipping is sorted

Im totally ignoring the 11/11 sale because of shipping delays. first time I have had under 1 page of outstanding things on there and some are dating back forever.

Only thing I am in the process of getting together is another Ray Wu/Rita lighting order that will be coming something fast (dhl or fedex) once I get it together and the answer from the seller
