This is how straight forward it should be, the bulk of the character verifications has robustly been done in the RV stage.
Same with PRV, Citizenship is just meeting the required number of days being physically present here in NZ so it's just box ticking.

Congrats, which office you applied?

Very interesting and very lucky by all accounts. @Rmani have you had any updates?
Obviously I dont know the internal workings but its seems illogical that an in person application would be processed any quicker? Unless all online applications go to Auckland whereas an in person one would go to that office,
None yet :( It's gonna be 10 months..

Theanchor: Wellington
WOW lucky. it was just quick you requested them or some emergency allocation?
Going back a few years to my case, I applied in person at the Wellington office. The big bonus is that applying in person gives you a case manager straight away who sits down and goes through all the documentation with you. It means that it is then a pretty rapid process after that.
Applying in person is a standard way of doing it.

That is not the case from 1st January 2021, DIA stated that all applicants are treated the same, in person and online now on the spot, they are not assigning case officers. I did mine in Jan 2021, in-person not allocated Case officer yet.
Hello All.
Yes, heard the same from Jan'2021 there is no difference applied in person/post/online.
Here is myself and my son's timeline:
Place: Auckland
Online Applied: 26th Oct'2020
C/O allotted email asking to confirm my personal details: 25th Aug'2021
Approval of citizenship: 14th Sep'2021
Waiting for ceremony email (they answered for my question that next West Auckland ceremonies scheduled on mid of Nov'2021 & Dec'2021, before a month only they will tell us whether it's cancelled or not)
can anyone tell me about how long it took for the on-line identity check to happen, I've just got all the paper work together for my wife, and submitted everything, she got the link via email to do the identity check, which she has done, but the identity check is still showing as "in progress" and I can't progress to the payment portion until that is complete.

If I remember right, it took a couple of days.

Rmani:I'm still waiting for an outcome. Applied 23 Oct 2020. Details confirmation 24 Aug 2021 - no outcome yet. I have no idea why it would take so long
