I have a Palm Pro which 6 months ago seemed to cut the mustard but just not anymore, would love to play with an Android phone.

The smartphone revolution has so far passed me by. I've always been suspicious of the proprietary model favoured by Apple so I can't wait for Android devices to descend in big numbers on the NZ scene and give us some real choice. That is very exciting.

Ooh, pick me! Pick me! =p

I think that the Milestone is great. Currently I have the LG GW620 Android phone, and while I absolutely love it, I think I really need something different.

For starters my partner is forever stealing my phone, so I don't know where it is, or he'll take the memory card out and leave it around the place, which is horrible when I try to set my alarms, read my saved emails, or want to listen to music.

It's a cool phone, but I recently heard that it won't be getting an android upgrade. It's on 1.5 (cupcake) at the moment, but I really need 2.0 or higher to take full advantage of the bluetooth file transfer.

Plus it freezes all the time, which ALWAYS happens when I'm doing something important.
It's on XT at the moment, so all I'd really have to do would be to switch SIM cards.

Anyway, I miss Motorola, it would be cool to have one again. (used to have the RAZR)

Peace guys. thanks for the opportunity =)

(Oh, and this is MEANT to be a picture. dunno if it'll work tho.)

I've been a PALM fan for so long I can't remember what I used to keep track of what I was supposed to be doing, before I started with the Palm family.  I have had Palm V, M505, Treo 650, Treo PRO since 1998 and now it looks like the end of the line for me.  Windows Mobile is no replacement for the PalmOS.

Peck and poke is no replacement for handwriting recognition either... where has that gone?

Anyways, I think I'll have to try one of these Androids.

Cheers
Bernard

my current phone is actually a yoghurt pottle with a piece of string attached to it. When I want to talk to someone I have to arrange to have the piece of string attached to another yoghurt pottle at their end. Its a real hassle and for long distance calls its hard to find balls of string that are long enough.

So put me in the draw please....this would make life so much easier.

Hi,

Currently I'm using a  Nokia 1325 and as the picture illustrates it is looking a little worse for wear.  The opportunity to leapgrade to the Android platform running on the Motorola would be splendid.Nokia 1325

I so need a new phone, my current sony Ericsson c510a's up and down buttons hardly work, I have to push them so hard that sometimes i hit the middle "send" button when texting, so I keep sending half finished texts, so annoying!

I am packing an HTC Desire....and loving Froyo..Android just simply ROCKS

The battery life on the Desire is my only quibble......maybe the Milestone could go the extra Mile ??Laughing

So I am a Web Developer of 11 years and simpleton at heart. I have yet to be convinced of the internet ready nature of smartphones after all the nasty (verrrrry slllooww and expensive) internet access I've had over the years with 'standard' cellphones.

So this is your opportunity to enable me to join the in-crowd (and my co-workers who all have Google/Android smartphones), to be a supporter of the mobile web and even - gasp - a smartphone developer!

...otherwise, I'll have to make do with my Sony-Ericsson G502..

Thanks!

My job takes me overseas for a couple of months at a time, and comunicating with my wife in kids is very hard, she has a iphone Clone from china, the battery last about 2 hours and its virtually impossible to punch out a text with its useless touch screen. I would love to win this phone to give to her so that I can keep in contact with the family when I am away

I have a iPhone 3GS that I purchased myself as a geek gift :-).   I do like it, but have been getting more and more interested in Android as an OS and the applications it has to offer.

I see this as being the opportunity to expand my knowledge with Android and the applications and open source structure (for better or worse - read iPhone fanboy here).

My iPhone would go to my long suffering and ever nagging girlfriend (love you honey) who has a Nokia 5700 music express, which is going to die (probably because she's torturing it) and I would move to the Milestone, which hopefully will be one as a change to Android.
