I am a Nana who brought her phone on looks as it is a lovely little pink Nokia 7373. I use it text mainly, but the some of keys are sticking and there is no where I can find to get it fixed. Its so cool, as I can have my photos/videos of my grandies and show them off.... surf the net if I want to. Load music use it like an MP3. I love personalising my phone with MY ringtones and themes.
I am on an invalids benefit, so cannot really afford to buy another phone with all the features I like.
I would like to stop feeling frustrated, pressing keys till they actually work, and to stop the bad language that comes out of my mouth when this happens lol....
Thanks for offering the phone for giveaway......Colleen
I have an Iphone 4 but my partner has a temperamental sony ericsson W910 which is taking a certain red telco ages to unlock so she can change providers. She is talking about wanting a new phone so I would give her the Milestone on the proviso I could "tinker" on it. The brownie points on offer woudl also be appreciated!!
It can't be any worse than the Nokia I currently use. It locks up at least once a day and the battery life is dismal. Still I like the way it works and it will be interesting to try this new Android based phone to see if its intuitive or not.. Got to win it first of course. N
I have been looking at the hundreds of new Android devices out there with great interest as the interface look amazing. I have pushed the use of my SonyEroccson X508w flip phone to the max. I can read al my email accounts and most Word documents via G3 and even browse a few mobile friendly websites but all via a TINY 2" screen I dream of owning a truly internet capable device like the Motorola Milestone
My 027 phone is the crappiest CDMA Nokia.... the buttons stick (when they work at all) and i've been on the lookout for something that'd give me a reason to give XT a try. This could be it?
I'm currently using an N900 -- nice computer. Also does phone, just. Previously it was an iPhone 2G, jailbroken from the US. Not sure where that actually is these days. I saw it a couple of months ago. Before that, a Nokia communicator. Great phones -- I had the original as well, it survived a drop down tube station escalator in its first week! I still have it, but not the charger :-( And an Ericsson R380s smartphone, the battery has almost no life, but I have the charger and data cable, so it lives on my server sending outbound TXT messages when monitoring says something has failed ...
I'm currently enjoying my trusty old Nokia 2110... but the battery life is a bit shot now. Wouldn't mind winning a "Milestone" to see what all this newfangled "TXTing" is...
Heck, I have got an old Vodafone Simply VS3, one of the early ones! It would be nice to have something with a bit more power, louder email & phone call ring and more volume to the earpiece. But this VS3 has been a survivor. Countless drop-ages, cracked screen, scuffed casing, can't expect much more for $70. lol. Roll on Christmas!
My mother is stuck on CDMA and is looking for a new phone to remove the coming worry of the CDMA network being shut off. Every time we go and have a look at phones I push her towards the smartphone section but alas she will not bite.
I think a free one would pull her over to the wonders of a smartphone just nicely.
I am currently an iPhone user but am reviewing upgrading to either an iPhone 4 or an Android-based device. And currently Android looks to be winning!
Does the Motorola include any additions to the user interface such as HTC seem to include? This seems to be where individual manufacturer's can distinguish their Android offerings at a software level. Be interested to understand how Motorola have made their phone more usable in this way.
