Finally received my citizenship certificate by post today! (just under 12 months from submitting).

Applied online: 26th Oct'2020 (stated 5-10 months)

CO Email: 25th Aug'2021 (just under 10 months)

Approval: 14th Sep'2021 (just under 3 weeks)

Email for cancellation of Ceremony: 29th Sep'2021 (2 weeks)

Certificate received: 13th Oct'2021. (2 weeks)

Happy that received my certificate before 12 months, All the best guys 😊

Congrats, good on you!

I had a chat with DIA yesterday. It's been 10 months since I applied, still no case officer has been assigned. I was told it would be early next year for the entire process to complete.

Congrats!!! I got my approval a week later than yours. Hopefully I will get the certificate soon given It’s quite unlikely to have the ceremony in Auckland at the moment…

No unfortunately I haven’t… it seems that you mentioned the next citizenship ceremony was meant to be mid-Nov? Fingers crossed I will hear something from them by the end of the week.

No unfortunately I haven’t… it seems that you mentioned the next citizenship ceremony was meant to be mid-Nov? Fingers crossed I will hear something from them by the end of the week.

I emailed my council directly to ask them (this was back in August? ) - they said even at Level 2 the ceremonies will be unlikely as they still have to keep gatherings down to < 100 people. So even min-November would be unlikely unless we are somehow at Level 1.

UPDATE: Received confirmation of citizenship application being granted today! Woo hoo! :) Tempered slightly by not yet hearing anything for my partner (we applied together).

Nov 30th 2020 - Applied online

Oct 4th 2021 - Email to confirm information, request up to date / better quality photograph.

Oct 18th 2021 - Email to confirm citizenship granted.

Will update when I hear about the ceremony etc.

So many different months being stated, don't know what to think.
