OuTLaWzZ69: Wondering if anybody heard anything today? I emailed DIA today and copied my wife in asking for the status.. and they only replied my wife and not me 🤦♂️
They said still processing applicants before us. 😂
There is new reply from DIA
https://fyi.org.nz/request/16952-status-of-citizenship-application#incoming-65957
"I can advise that as at 27
October 2021, the oldest unassigned paper application was received on 10 November 2020. The
oldest unassigned online application was received on 20 December 2020."
https://fyi.org.nz/request/16954-citizenship-applications-2020#incoming-65963
"I can confirm that the oldest unassigned paper applications waiting to be allocated to a
citizenship trained Life and Identity Services Officer (LISO) are from 25 November 2020 and the
oldest unassigned online applications waiting to be assigned to a LISO are from 2 January 2021. "
I don't know why different answer in same day :D :D :D
OuTLaWzZ69: Wow that is exciting! When was your application lodged?
Paper application in March in Auckland, unfortunately paper application now slower than online because of lockdown before it was ahead by 3 weeks

Do you have any idea if that's just the case for paper applications in Auckland due to lockdown or Wellington will be on the same boat?

From the information Ive read (news, forums, information requests etc) DIA seem to be required to go into the office to process anything. So Auckland is out of action.
In person applications are meant to be divided amongst offices so if the paperwork is indeed stuck in Auckland then I would expect further delays :(

I am guessing that this is only for the paper applications and not online as well?
One would assume that however I believe DIA have to physically be in the office to access digital files as well (protection of personal information etc).
So as long as Auckland cant access the office any work they were doing will be delayed. So its best to assume the DIA workforce is "crippled" at the moment.
If you were unluckly enough to be assigned an Auckland case worker then that would be delayed whetther it was in person or not.
