I developed all the original (award winning) mobile weather content on the Vodafone Live service without a phone, the marketing manager took it and I had to borrow it from him to test my apps. Then he got a better one and I managed to lever the old one off him, and I have subsequently subsisted off second hand phones in the same vein.
I currently have a basic little phone (Nokia 1200, top features listed are: dust proof, torch ...) that Vodafone gave my son when he signed up for a new account - he already had a much better one.
I'm supposed to be designing some more mobile apps and I'm particularly keen to try developing some apps for Android. I have been looking for a suitable phone so this would be perfect. Cheers, Bruce.
I currently use a second hand palm tero wx (like the one below), which I got from Trade me about 3 yrs ago. Still work sort off, but would like a touch screen phone; only if I could win lotto.
Cloud spending continues to surge globally, but most organisations haven’t made the changes necessary to maximise the value and cost-efficiency benefits of their cloud investments. Download the whitepaper From Overspend to Advantage now.
A 5 year old Sony Ericsson K700i with the following quirks:
1) It randomly calls/messages people in my address book. Locking it doesn't help and neither did a full reset. 2) The joystick is really temperamental. The chances of being able to move the cursor right with it are about 60%, moving the cursor down, about 50% :) 3) The charger no longer plugs in properly - apparently its an electrical contact issue that has slightly improved after I cleaned the contacts. Charging the phone overnight is still a matter of chance 4) The paint has chipped off all over the place revealing the dull black and grey plastic underneath ( the phone was originally silver)
It is still functional as a phone though - the old faithful device that it is.
I've actually been looking at upgrading (out of necessity) to an Android device (out of choice - I would never buy an iphone because it is too limited) and had short listed the Milestone as a potential candidate.
I've had my trusty Touch Pro2 for a year now and just recently sold it.. then realised the phone I wanted perhaps isnt the one I want after all! Looks like I'll be phoneless from tomorrow when the new owner picks up their phone and I havent got anything new yet :(
Would be nice to win my first GZ competition with this Milestone :-)
Here's my TP2..

S3?
My phone was just a bit better then carleeto's K700i, I had a Sony Ericsson K800i at the start of the year then dropped it at which point it turned into a blinking flashlight.
I took it apart to see if I could fix it (yeah right), pretty sure it still blinks if I put it back together.
Currently I have no phone, been waiting for the right time to get one, if I'm lucky this might be it? I use my iPod Touch as my phone now since most of the time I am in WiFi range, just hope the car doesn't brake down in transit, been lucky so far.
On the left my old K800i, on the right my iPod Touch 2nd generation.
This is my Samsung C5220. After having this phone for a while its at that point where most things are starting to fail. it doesn't ring when im getting a call, the vibrate function died altogether a few months ago (after randomly working for quite a while) the memory has started to deteriorate or something because it holds less messages than it used to(and doesnt have an 'auto delete oldest message when a new one comes when the inbox is full' function) quite the typical 'i really need a new phone' symptoms
Thank god the oh so mighty 1.3 mega pixel camera still works for an extra entry! Cmoooooon new Android phone!
using a year old xt w995a. wishing i'd of waited before buying as no android phones were available then. ive had a play on a milestone at the telecom shop and its deffinately a step up from my current phone.
I have the Blackberry Bold 9000. Comes with one minor problem though - as it is a company supplied device I'm stuck with a rather draconian corporate policy that won't even allow me to sms. So a new device free of these shackles would be a nice.
I currently have the samsung GT-S8300T, its just not what i want, the milestone would be great, nicer OS, a real keypad, Bigger screen, it trumps my current phone in every way.
