I bought a motorola atrix 2 for 199 from Harvey Norman ... Cheaper than wholesale ...

In fact if you go to a wholesale to but at their wholesale price you will pay retail but feel good until you find out about the recent retail sale ...

Regs: Even staff working for the sonys, panasonics, samsungs etc cant get things as cheap as some of the big chains...

Wow that is sad to hear.  Considering those companies actually make the products and that's logically where the lowest cost should sit.

With all the sales these days there's no point in trying to buy one item wholesale because as mentioned you can buy retail for less than cost - you just need to wait for the right sale...

All the retailers sell everything below cost in order to get customers in the door but at the expense of margin / profit. Of course if every thing sold at proper retail pricing, no one would buy anything but still it seems like a lose lose situation to me for the companies... seems like they are stuck in a downward spiral and doing nothing to get out of it....

Doing your best is much more important than being the best.
