I had issues with cats digging and "depositing" in my raised vege garden. Tried the water tricks, cap guns, the works. All that happened is they got more clued up and would run at sight of me.

Ended up putting up bird netting over the garden, that stopped them for a bit, then they started pushing under it so i stapled it down, which made the garden hard work to get to to weed and such.

This year, i got myself a battery powered electric fence unit (the PEL version of this http://www.gallagher.co.nz/energizer.aspx?mktprodid=3035) and ran an electric fence around the freshly planted garden, and voila! no more cats in the garden.

Klipspringer: Get a dog.

We have two dogs (dachshunds). They great at keeping the cats out of our yard.

what type of dachshunds do you have? we have a standard short hair

as for the cats, hose them away when you see them on your section

Sorry I have to agree with Zeon.

Shoot at them with an air rifle (miss or dont miss - your choice) then report yourself to the RSPCA for cat cruelty, they will have one of thier nice people come around, see you are mistreating the animals and take them off you as an unfit owner - problem solved.

We have chickens - they get rid of cats as well.
