Oooh, Windows8 Pro. I'll put my hand up for MS's psychedellic DVD cover with any coloured DVD inside.

If you look cross eyed at the cover design you can see a windows start button :)

Cool, a free Win8 would leave me plenty of spare change to buy the $5 app that gives you back the start button.
I test-drove an HP Envy last weekend. It proved what I had worked out from trying Win8 on lappies - its really a whole lot more sensible with touch. Without touch, its a clunky bastard. The envys are enviable wee devices though.

Made to order box quotes:

"It doesn't matter if you don't have a touch screen, trust me, you'll likely upgrade in 3 to 5 years"

"We actually built schizophrenia into the interface, we're calling it SaaS"

"If you don't like one view *BAM* you can switch to the other... repeatedly"

It should have been called Windows '70s with that cover!

Like there are many layers to an onion there are many layers to Windows 8, the upper visible layers are not the prettiest but the deeper down layers are what matters.
It'd make for a nice birthday present for Thursday too.

I opened the thread a few times and fell unconscious as soon as I laid my eyes on that cover. On the 4th or 5th time my mate called the emergency.

In the hospital he asked me what happened, and now he's staying in the same room.

I'm on my phone now with images turned off... yay!

If only the OS was as good as their box design maybe we'd have something to talk about.

Give them the DVD just give me the product key Laughing

The deeper in you get, the more it makes you cry?

ETA: Hey, Thursday is your birthday too? Snap! Congrats!
