CYaBro: What do you do when you rush to catch the last train out of britomart, the ticket booths are closed and no one comes around on the train to take your money?

Err, when was the last time you did this,
Britomart is now a gated station, you cannot get on a train without a ticket, unless you jump the ticket gate......

After a couple of days using my month pass tagging on and off is a breeze. Cant imagine anyone having a problem with the $20.00 fine. You need to be super early to get a damn car park at the park and ride anyway!

Whilst I don't use the integrated ticketing system yet, I don't really see what all the fuss is about.

I lived in London for 3 years and didn't once have a problem with purchasing a ticket and getting on a train/bus/tube

The idea of tagging on and off a bus does seem silly if you have a monthly pass, but at the end of the day, rules are there and you must follow them or risk being fined.

A $20 fine is so small compared to the penalty for fare-dodging overseas that I find it amazing that people could think it unfair.

If I went to the dairy and got some millk and a paper and then "forgot" to pay, I would expect more than just a $20.00 fine!
