I've just come back from travelling Europe, and the best option may be to just purchase a prepay SIM in each country. That depends on how long she will be spending in each country, if it's only a few days in each then it wouldn't be worthwhile.

Mobile data was cheap in Europe, and ridiculously cheap in the UK.

Really depends on quantity of data. Roaming I can burn 500MB a day easy as if I have no access to any other connectivity.

Recently in Fiji we averaged 100MB a day on our phones just across twitter + facebook etc with posting photos.




Generally known online as OpenMedia, now working for Red Hat APAC as a Technology Evangelist and Portfolio Architect. Still playing with MythTV and digital media on the side.

I've read through the comments here and I'm going to try change my plan on attack a little... I'm looking at getting a PAYGO SIM from what of the countries she is visiting, then using their roaming data charges from there. This may be a more effective way to get data while over there.
