PaulBags: I shouldn't have expected it, but I was hoping for a darker ending. Oh well, ties it up nicely I guess.

This whole season has been really dark , compared to the past 6.

The music (no more miami/cuban style music) , no character intro (the 1-2 sec stop scene like ..."Fiona...the client")

Michael's scenes while being interrogated by James in the induction process.

The grand-finale was somewhat dark but I (and I'd bet alot of people) think that it's a pretty happy-sweet-sad ending. (bittersweet?)

That final goodbye phone call scene between Michael and his mom , ...i'm a guy...but that almost had me tearing my eyes out at the office...on a friday!

Jeffrey Donovan is really a phenomenal actor...Sharon Gless and the rest too.

Paul, what was your fav scene in that epi ?

To be perfectly honest the show has felt like a cliché unto itself to me for awhile now, and I've partly been watching because it was good and I wanted to see how it all ended. There were some good scenes and some good acting in the final, but mostly I remember how forced the storyline felt, and the terrible cgi explosions - I actually laughed out loud at those despite the plight of hero & heroine.

Was kinda disappointed the whole 'why are the cia being massive scum buckets' thing wasn't resolved, but I guess that's self explanatory.

Your right about Mikes interrogation was pretty intense, his turning too.

Well yea, Burn Notice has always been about cliche, cheesiness , and cgi explosion.

Ever since season 1.

That's the thing that alot of people love about the show. The final season is a move away from that.

It's kinda sad, like saying goodbye to a family after 7 years.

I loved how they tied the intro into the various different parts of the finale. It was a great series, closest thing to MacGyver. I feel a sense of loss following characters for 7 years. Michaels mother dying was a surprise. The last words at the end were the perfect end. Pity Sam didn't get more credit at the end, he was a huge part of that series, and MW was lucky to have him.
