I wonder if Briscoes and Harvey Norman will have a sale that day? It's been ages since the last one :-)

Lazy is such an ugly word, I prefer to call it selective participation

Last year I got a Hp Pavillion laptop from Harvey Normans for $349. They must have had a couple of pallets of them they were going out the Door real fast and had a dedicated queue and 2 salespeople just for the laptop. The good thing was they opened at 8am and I was home by 9am just as the hoards were arriving

I'm hoping to get a better price on a Webber Q BBQ on Boxing Day. They're good but overpriced at normal pricing.

There's actually not much I need at the moment.

I might be tempted if I saw a PS3 or a lens I'm after for my SLR camera at a ridiculously low price, but unless I'm aware of a particular deal first I won't even go out and brave the Boxing Day retail crowd lunacy to look.

Other than that I'm only in the market for an 8-bay NAS and a new Win 7 desktop PC (which will be a custom build). Unlikely that either of these will be on sale.

Suspect my cash will stay firmly where it belongs - in my wallet.

Walk into a Harvey Norman store 52 weeks of the year and if you don't get an idiotic salesman you can haggle over the price of a big screen TV.

I agree with that got my Panasonic TV earlier this year during sale and he knocked another 300 off it. ended up saving $1000 from the normal ticket
