I personally do not trust items such as batteries sold on Trademe.

Read the amazon reviews, seems to be poor quality.

Swings and roundabouts a bit - you don't get Leica quality for $27!!

There is a higher power version of Eneloops called Eneloop XX but I don't see many of them for sale here.

TradeMe seller "require plug adapter " I thought TradeMe was stamping out requires adapter items.

Ecobatteries has it for $86 no idea whether that is NZ cheapest.

The C9000 is definitely the better charger overall.

As a home/office use charger it seems the best way to look after you batteries. As a travel option though it is a bit bulky and heavy - and requiring an additional power brick is a PITA. I may go with the smaller CH-204 which looks like a reasonable product and is much more portable. Maybe get the big one when I get back to NZ.

I just ordered 8 Eneloop AA from Amazon in the UK (am there in 4 weeks - had them sent to my mother's place) and paid less than the typical NZ price for 4 including 20% tax and delivery to her house!

I did buy the MH C401 charger in the end - it seems pretty good and reasonably portable. Very cool on 'slow' charge too.
