Funny because reading the email I have the impression they want to get a "out of jail card" based on "hey, other publications had this problem too, not only us!".

I didn't get the email, I never registered with them. Would be pointless.

I used to do the daily quiz with a few others on Twitter, hence my registration. I also have been known to comment from time to time, but that was primarily back when Gerard Campbell had his Game Junkie blog.

For me it reads as if they think it makes them "cooler" to be hacked alongside these sites.

I notice they still have comments disabled. Indicative of the downturn in proofreading amongst other things at Fairfax. Stuff more and more pointless. What news sites/feeds do others use?
