mobygeek: Kiwioverseas66, don't laugh but I am an aussie in NZ!!!

oh no no - not being critical of the brits/ aussies/ yanks/ etc - more the "if they're doing it then it must be right" attitude we have sometimes. I think we need to back our selves more and stop looking to someone else for approval. I guess its an extension of the herd mentality but on an international scale.

To this day my favourite comedy in the world is Fast Forward. Uncle Bruce was my favourite. I always thought the portrayal must be exaggerated until I saw an actual interview with Bruce Ruxton (sorry about the spelling). Spooky how spot on it was!  Also loved the skippy sketches (skippy in the exorcist had me on the floor in  tears). If the series ever comes out on DVD I'm getting it!

About that 'if they are doing it...' - sounds like my kids - one did it, and they were all doing it cos one was getting away with it!!!   and for Aloha, I used to get those urban myth type forwards so I started out verifying them and telling the sendsers they were just nonsense.  Used to go to v-myth, I think, or snopes...  So some people actually stopped forwarding to me.  Which I don't mind.  They still don't email me personally, so I guess they were just forwarding to all on their mail lists.  Phew!  If it was the bosses' list it would take all day!!!

Never being able to find the old stuff on dvd, especially to hire, I want to watch those old Saturday morning series again plus where did "Greatest American Hero" go?

What cheeses me off is when I lose what I was just writing.  How come I can't get all my Morse, Agatha Christie (Miss Marple, Poirot) and Midsomer Murder DVDs at the local library?  (they have the first two editions of Morse only...)  AND...I've never seen the one where Morse dies...
