when someone is deemed to have said or done something to cause offence to the great and implacable Moloch of Political Correctness, then the priests and priestesses of that religion will sometimes react with a vindictiveness - and a total lack of reason - that is in itself a kind of anthropological marvel.

Whether you say it is a function of biology or social expectation, it is a fact that - on the whole - men and women express emotion differently. There is, in other words, a gender difference, and it should not be an offence to say that.

He did not deserve to be pilloried, and should be reinstated forthwith to his academic positions.

Really a politician makes it ok.

Here is a crazy notion, lets give peace a chance.

You can't say anything in public today that diverges from the accepted Group Think.

No opinions are acceptable other than the Officially Sanctioned Ones Approved By Twitter.

Why not? Is he not entitled to hold that view? He is not a politician trying to get it formed into a policy so his views do not have much effect.

IF he has women working for him in his lab, then it is even worse to be honest. Imagine hearing your boss, in a public, industry forum, basically saying your entire gender are too emotional to work with?

If he killed, then slaughter him.

If he had a loose tongue, silence it. Make him retract and apologize.

If he hurt your feelings, humiliate him publicly. Not castrate him.

Most people want the world to be better, fairer place.

An elderly, Nobel laureate, who made a mistake, isn't the best target to improve things.

There are plenty of genuinely, evil bastards in the World, that deserve far more attention.

I've given it some thought and decided this is not pc gone mad. Usually when one commits PC crime an apology is all that's needed. But if you touch LGBT or feminists, you will be crucified and skinned alive. Not sure why that is. Not sure if my observations are accurate, so please critique.
