CYaBro: I've been told by an optometrist that starting at a computer screen or TV all day, or your phone in bed at night etc, does no damage to your eyes.
If you do have issues it is because of a pre-existing issue that gets worse with the screen use.

Hatch: I've been really interested in trying out some orange tinted glasses (i.e. blue blocker) as there is some scientific evidence regarding melatonin levels and PC monitors.
This looks like a gimmicky article but it actually has references!

I spent some time trying to work out if cheap orange tinted glasses will effectively block UVB but it's impossible to determine without specialist testing equipment. There are expensive glasses which claim they block UVB such as Gunnars Optiks, but who really knows.
