12:01pm tonight at Chartwell, Hamilton. They have 4 theaters showing it, so there are still plenty of tickets left (I think as they sell out they open another theater - the beauty of the digital cinema)

Have a fairly good group of 30somethings coming along, should be an awesome night!

We should find a suitable honda down south auckland to fit this too.

I'm hoping for a good crowd. That's kinda got to be part of the experience now as you can get a similar picture and sound at home now.
Massive difference in the VHS days, but now not so much.
And you don't have to deal with people and overpriced confectionary at home.
So, I'm hoping to get a good crowd who's into the content at a midnight screening.

I always take my own confectionary - I refuse to pay those extortionate prices for a bag of dinosaurs. In Australia I used to take my own ice cream as well - grab a McDonald's 50c cone (or a sundae) on the way in - Hoyts and Event seem to frown on that here though.

Well survived the midnight screening and have to say it was jolly good fun.
None of that prequel rubbish and a satisfying trip down memory lane.

Pretty damn good - Packed Midnight screening in Palmy 3D theatre.
Definitely lived up to the legacy preceeding it.

BTW, St Lukes seemed to be showing it on every single screen, and it was absolutely chocka. I'll be interested to see how it does at the box office.

I can't stand 3D movies, they've always screwed up my eyes while in the theatre. I hope they have a non-3D screening in the biggest theatre at Downtown Cinemas in Palmy.

BTW, Downtown Cinemas in Palmy North was the very first multiplex to open in New Zealand, back in 1990.
