Fabian:Geektastic: I have never downloaded (illegally) a film in my entire life! I would not even know how.
Said no one ever!
scuwp: How can they possibly come up with these figures with so many ways of obtaining said data, and so many additional ways to avoid detection?

I believe they just count the number of different ip addresses inside a torrent swarm over time.
This website used to have decentralised tracker monitoring. You could enter your ip address and see a pretty accurate list of the torrents you were seeding or downloading which found other peers via the distributed database.

RUKI:
1. Interstellar - crap
RUKI: I always ask "Why being bothered downloading if you can get 3D BluRay for $1 to $6 and enjoy 7.1 Surround sound, 3D and extended special features (e.g.Hobbit) which sometimes more interesting than the movie itself?"
