But Tony if you walk or bike there, how will you take the sofa home? :)

If once IKEA will reach the shore of NZ you should have a bloody big car mate to bring home all the good stuff they have! :)

That's a shame, Ikea is quite a good store, lots of nify store with good prices.

As for Aldi, i'd be pissed off if the Comm Comm stopped them coming in?  They are just another discount chain really.  For such low prices their food is quite good, at least in Germany anyhow.

You lot are all missing the point - the best thing about Ikea is the meatballs!!!?!

Never mind the com com and the greenies, I'm sure it's the fast food industry blocking IkeaWink

Subway has meatballs too so perhaps they are blocking them....  (conspiracy theory no.22334)

www.ikea.co.nz was registered in 2004, perhaps they've been looking for a while? (Click to see whois info)

Edit: www.aldi.co.nz redirects to the Australian website.

I've got an idea.  Now that Pukekohe has lost the V8's to Hamilton, why don't they put Ikea in Pukekohe.  (You can see the racetrack from the back of the new area where Harvey and mates now live...  Hey, all the rest of auckland has moved here.  If Ikea come to pukekohe, my house value is sure to rise...  Then I can move to Auckland cos I won't be able to afford here...

Good night.  Don't let the bed bugs bite.  (And if they do, just go to homebush...)

They should try Albany. Plenty of space out here.

IKEA really does beat any NZ furniture store, although setting it up can be confusing/frustrating when theres a gazillion different parts.
