It's interesting that just because something is from McDonalds, it is instantly classed as junk. If you look at the more premium burgers, the ingredients are pretty much the same as what you purchase from the supermarket for your homemade burger.

Expensive, sure, junk, no, unless you class a homemade burger as junk as well. Then you've just got something against burgers in general : )

MikeB4: Yuck, McDonalds is disgusting and not worth it at any price any time

When was the last time you had McD's? I often see people state something like the above, often followed with ''I havent touched the stuff in years''

I think they've come a long, long way in the last 5ish years. By no means is it good food or good for you, but $6 for a double cheeseburger, chips and a drink is very appealing.

I personally find it very tasty, but then I'm easily pleased with food I guess, & ignorance is bliss.

Went there a few weeks back for a kids birthday and the junk was as bad as it's ever been

Here is a crazy notion, lets give peace a chance.

Ok, if you ordered a Chick'n McCheese or something similar, I can see where you're coming from. But if you ordered a "create your taste" burger, it's just everyday ingredients custom-made into a burger. No worse than grabbing some, mince, cheese, buns and fresh produce from the supermarket and making your own at home.

When I am on the road with clients, McDonalds is my go to stop for comfort breaks.

Lacking a European style network of motorway services and sadly lacking the excellent Bacon Buttie vans of every lay-by in the UK (not good for the waistline but who can beat a hot bacon buttie and a mug of tea at 5am?!) we often grab food too.

They perform a function. It's not the Jules Verne in Paris, but then the bill will be less than the $700 it cost me last time I ate there...!

I find the food that people who dis maccas to eat to be vastly inferior.

Its a good thing you have a choice, if you dislike maccas then butt out of this thread perhaps and go back to never touching the stuff.

Personally I'm glad there are more choices on the menu. It is not my preferred option but every now and then it is the only practical option.

Vastly inferior to mc donalds? I'm struggling with that one ; ). The chains seem similar. One or two of the worse traditional greasy takeaways perhaps.

i must admit , the design your own burger using the touch screens is a fun past time and they turn out to be one of the best burgers i have tasted. Full marks.

100% agree. Burger Fuel/Wisconsin are poor compared to the McD's build your taste burgers.

Quite happy to spend $20 on an awesome burger at McD's than $14 for a meh burger at the other "premium burger" places. My wife loves Burger Fuel but basically just gets an expensive cheese burger. I find it hard to find anything worth ordering off the Burger Fuel menu (when the chicken burgers are more appealing you need to ask questions about your basic product).

BTW possibly the best burger I ever had a was a peppercorn burger from Burger Wisconsin in Howick (Auckland). Never found one offering it again.

I don't eat breakfast and the Mrs has an up & go. Although for people that like Maccas breakfast it sounds like a win!

All day burgers would be nice though.
