All the old portable audio technology products I bought: cassette, CD, DAT and MD walkmans (walkmen?).

Nomads. But not Treks.

The ice blocks that had a jelly baby in the tip. What were they called? TT-2? Moggy Man?

Snifters.

And not really a separate product, but plastic toys in cereal boxes, particularly the little kit sets on a sprue that you'd put together yourself. How many children actually choked to death before they removed toys from corn flakes for our protection? More or less than the number Americans killed by Kinder Surprise toys?

The 1Kg pack of sliced cheese.   They vanished about 18 months ago and got replaced by a more expensive 10 slice package.

Actual L&P, as opposed to the sickly sweet substitute available nowadays. And "Te Aroha & Lemon".

Frying Saucers, I remember our fish & chip shop sold them, or you could get them at the supermarket and fry them up at home.

You used to be able to get an icecream popsicle with real strawberry fruit mash coating, absolutely yum. Can not remember name or who made them.

Whilst the difficult we can do immediately, the impossible takes a bit longer. However, miracles you will have to wait for.

I had a RTR Countdown ice cream once when I was a kid and have dreamed of it ever since.

@xpd: 1c lollies....  $1 got you a massive bag. Today you're lucky to get 2 lollies....

I remember when lollies were sold separately in open boxes on the dairy counter, and wine gums were four for a cent. One summer my brother and I found a dollar note on the beach and went to the closest dairy and bought $1.00 worth - and stood there watching the poor (more than slightly annoyed) shop keeper count out 400 wine gums.

Sounds like the Splice.
