What a scam.

There was no mention in the app of the $20 charge until after you've submitted it. That's just blatantly misleading.

Had the ice cream actually turned up I may not have worried too much, but it didn't. It seems to be immediately accepted and charged so you have no idea how far away they are. My email invoice also shows the Uber Wellington address rather than mine. I've now wasted half an hour both standing outside waiting for them and now sending an email to get this rectified.

I should have just walked to the dairy for an ice cream.

Are you 100% sure you updated your address before ordering?

Where are the screenshots? Are you sure you didn't miss read? Everything i have seen has been "For existing Uber riders, $20 will be charged to your account."

For the low low price of just $20 im pretty sure we could arrange for someone else to not deliver you icecream :P

Yes. Looking at the email invoice and history in the app I see the Uber office address. If I look at the invoice in the Uber web interface I see my office address.

I don't recall seeing any mention of a $20 charge in the app until after you've submitted the order.

Scoop!

Uber database hacked. Ice cream deliveries hijacked. Police found the culprit covered in raspberry sauce, nuts and hundreds & thousands. They think he topped himself… The area is coned off.
