AOL is still around
Don't tell me rocketmail is still around
I couldn't resist.....
Here is a crazy notion, lets give peace a chance.

I have to bite on this one, as ironically AOL not only exists, but is owned by the same company that is buying the Yahoo brand. Yahoo is being bought by Verizon. The new company, Altaba, has been formed for the bits that Verizon isn't buying (Yahoo owns a lot of shares in Alibaba, that aren't part of the Verizon acquisition, and are worth a lot more than what Verizon are paying for the internet parts of the business). So I would expect the Yahoo brand to continue.
Yahoo is dead! Altaba Inc is here...

Selected this as answer because it's the only factual bit in here. Yahoo! is still a brand, for now - only the investment part of the company (which is not being bought by Verizon) will change name.

nova:I have an aunt who still uses AOL dialup - can't for the life of me get her to switch to cable (which she has for TV).
