True.

Although I'd like to know why we were lied to and told that all trains had been replaced by buses when that wasn't the case.

Originally the concert was due to finish at 22:45, with some special train services to follow, and the last scheduled service due to leave at 23:14.

Because everything was late, they limited the number of special services to 2 per line running on a "leave when full like sardines" basis, and changed the 23:14 scheduled service to bus replacements. You left early enough to get the 23:14 service.

The last Hutt Valley service was the 11:05, something Metlink publicised. They were going to run 2 x special trains before this, and that was going to be the last train.

How anybody could seriously think that gave any margin for error, or even how 34,000 people could all be out of the stadium and at the station within 20 mins astounds me.

Metlink are as bad as always, yet every time it's local body elections people keep electing the same people to GWRC.

My bad,  23:14 was the KPL service (was in my head cos that's what I was catching).

Their staff did, however, lie to us. We asked them and they told us that ALL trains were being replaced with buses....

The concert and show was great, however I did feel the sound wasn't that great with Axl's midrange and vocals being a little poor.

Yeah I saw a couple of videos and it sounded quite laboured and a bit breathless at parts.

Footage from earlier on in the reunion tour he sounded more grunty and throaty but I guess he's had to pull back a bit.

Back in the day a common reason for him being late on stage was the state of his voice. They just kept booking shows and he was blowing his voice out all the time; hence some of the tantrums - he just wanted a break.

They only lied if they gave you information which at the time they knew to be untrue.
