There is nothing in the policy wording about store credits as a method of settling claims.  Nothing at all stated about what happens when you are not happy with their 'replacement'

I think they have come up with the huawei based on the spec of the nokia, 16 gb, 8mp camera etc.  They have stated there is no other phone they would offer.  Its the huawei or a store credit with Noel Leeming.

It would also be very worth while discussing the impact on your No Claims Bonus with Tower.
They are unlikely to give you an exact dollar figure unless your policy is due to renew very shortly, but even a ballpark estimate of $100-150 increase would make me reconsider whether this claim is worthwhile, unless it is part of a larger burglary.

I heard from Tower Insurance today by email only ..........and now asking for my bank account.  So definitely shows they try it on.

No claims......possibly - if they raise it significantly, I will change.  I say this having never made a major claim, but I know for clothes, they depreciate everything pretty rapidly so its worth nothing virtually (have had washing stolen) and while technology is replacement value, that value is based on the fact the insured would buy the same specifications today, so I don't understand how I would ever get any real value from it.
