Thanks man, I actually did try that as well, but I worked out the ETH return was not as good as mining straight SIA coins and converting the SIA coins.

I get about 3,000 MHs/s  from my 1080 Ti, pretty sure I was getting about the same stats as yours when dual mining too. Another coin that looks efficient to mine is Z Cash... Going to try that too when I get my new video cards.

Have you done any CPU mining? I am trying to mine Monero with my CPU but it is really slow compared to GPU mining obviously

That's a bloody good point - I hadn't looked at the Sia - Ethereum conversion rate.  I may have to reassess.

I only started mining last Monday so still pretty new to it all!  I'm actually doing Folding on my CPU...think of it as my PC's yin and yang cool

Anyone know any PC shops in Auckland with the PCI-e risers in stock?

i.e. these bad boys... https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01N3UVJHM/ref=as_li_tl?ie=UTF8&camp=1789&creative=9325&creativeASIN=B01N3UVJHM&linkCode=as2&tag=altcoinmining-20&linkId=65affe78c048bdd17b51be0c328eb833

You thought AMD RX GPUs were hard to find in NZ... try finding riser cards!

I have PM'd you - let me know what you want for them - Im in AKL and can come collect and pay cash tonight

I just got the last 3 x Gigabyte GTX 1060's from DTC.  I hope to eek out ~20 Mh/s from them.  Scott in the shop said that AMD and NVidia raising their prices at a rate of 10% p/month!, which is nuts so mining cards wont get cheaper with age they will actually get more expensive until new purpose built mining cards are released.

I actually speculate it is the suppliers and stores that are jacking the prices, some stores are making even bigger price jumps! 1060's seem to be the best value option for NVIDIA, even buying RX 560's will get you 11mh on stock, for $180ish if you bargain hunt !

Possibly but Scott is pretty genuine and me and a friend of mine have know him for a long time.  My pick is its the GPU manufacturers creaming it.  Wouldn't surprise me if we eventually found out they had a hand in the creation of ETH lol.

Also does anyone know of any good Crypto GPU discord disccusions groups? Ive joined a couple buts just useless spam and egos and very light on good tech mining advice.

IIRC 560 can run off PCIe slot power (75W) but many cards have a 6pin connector for overclocking.

580 pulls a bit over 200W.

Whats involved with mini these? I remember we mined Doge coin for the hell of it a while back @hio77.

How would a 24 core Xeon in germany handle this sort of task lel.
Whats the return like off a RX560/RX580?
