Sure, but you just wait few months and wipe out most nests within foraging radius of your house. Treat the disease not the symptoms, so to speak.
Four of us have done two seasons of baiting in our 'hood and it's almost a total knock down. We cut-off baiting early last season because wasp numbers were so low.
Based on the literature for other toxins, you can expect to eventually destroy the wasp nests within 250m of your house.
