Cheers for that, installed, notifications set.
Edit: iOS
msukiwi:
Launch scrubbed for today, possibly tomorrow.
Looks like 17:00 Sunday is the next potential slot.
I assume all here would find this interesting

Annual Geminid shower, with NZ viewing info
Not with the current cloud conditions. Not spectacular amounts. But enough to make it interesting.
Of interest at present is Comet 46P

I might be in with a shot in ChCh, the Sat 1am to 7am looks ok, of course that can easily change.
Sometimes I just sit and think. Other times I just sit.
eracode: It’s a pity we’re stuck with an old thread title - the ‘trying again’ makes it sound like RL has not yet been successful. It has already been brilliantly successful.
Maybe a more accurate title is:
Rocket Lab are Launching Again
(Using the one thread keeps it all in one place)
Live now
Heh. Except for 40mins of nothing for a while :P
This is one of Tim from Everyday Astronaut music titles after he visited the site
Wonder if anyone caught the exhaust trail on camera as it went southbound
Yeah, wee bit late in posting - missed the good bit!
Well, that could have ended 40mins ago with 'please see our twitter for success/fail updates in approx 40mins..'
how does propulsion from the bottom of a slim cylinder be made so good at making it fly straight?

If you watch the video, it's not as straight up the line as one would hope. But the nozzles all move and are likely gyro guided. Similarly how you get a wobble on a dart but it flies generally where you send it thanks to the weight and stabilising at the butt end
In the larger birds such as the Falcon9, they also have compressed air jets guiding the top end. Not sure if Electron has a small servo fin setup that may deploy..
Rocket Lab trying again today 25/03/19.
From NZHerald:
"Rocket Lab will attempt its second commercial launch today during a window between 11.30am and 3.30pm."
