It still works. Last tested a few hours ago. But there is something in me that just cant ignore the blinking light. That same feeling when you see the check engine light on your car and you have no idea :)

Are you able to see a nameplate with a full model number? or is what you have provided definitely the full model number? It's unusual to return no searches for it that's all but there are plenty of models with digits in front and after what you have listed

Found on the Indesit site - I know it isn't your model of dishwasher but I'm sure they'd have the same processes to follow for their models

(I'd set this to 1 personally) - it says on the top right not to add salt at such a setting

I think that could work given I normally use the ECO mode which is number 3 on my one instead of 1. Now that I think of it, it is possible that it has been blinking before and I only noticed it now as I ran it on the full with pre-wash cycle which requires it. And if ECO does not require salt, then I guess that is why it was not blinking before. I will test this theory out later tonight.

My AEG has been going for 21 years with the salt LED on. Just ignore it or paint it over!

We had a Bosch dishwasher that came over in the container with our furniture from the UK that lasted seven years without any salt before dying of unrelated natural causes.

The dishes washed just fine.

Luckily the salt light didn't blink so it was easily ignored.

The Indesit models seem to use the salt light as a diagnostic for un-salt-related issues, just so you know!
