As for Trump getting re-elected, yes, so long as US employment stays steady even if the economy tanks. The GOP are too chicken to admit they made a colossal mistake as the present elected would loose their seats and their egos wont allow that.
- Mid-terms the GOP lost a lot of ground, with a number of seat and ego casualties.
- I don't think that even the Republican Party could stomach another term of Trump. If he's a loose cannon now, imagine him when he has nothing to lose.
- Trump supporters will always vote Republican
- Trump's tweeting, etc puts him outside the Conservative ideal of a guy with good hair in a good suit who mouths platitudes
So my prediction is that Trump WON'T get the Republican nomination. It'll be a Pence/Rubio/Cruz/whoever clone. Roger Stone will be backing the winning candidate.
