I am left to conclude that one or more of the following must be true:

 

 

 

     

  1. The number of offenders in NZ is disproportionately high in comparison to the population size
  2. There are too few working courts
  3. There are too few lawyers
  4. Someone is working too slowly

Imagine you get accused of a serious crime only to be found not-guilty 3 years later.  You would expect to lose your job, relationship, home, pretty much everything.
