nzkc: Why is orange jam called marmalade?

Have you ever seen orange jam? Marmalade is not a jam. The water content in the recipe is different as is the biochemistry of the setting process.

msukiwi:

Will any of my desktop / laptop computers actually be able to run Win11?

That's easy, the answer is probably no. I think the real question is how many billion in bribes did the hardware manufacturers pay Microsoft.

Since Win11 is Win10 with rounded corners and the Start menu mucked up differently from the other 80 times they've mucked it up, why do you want to go to Win11?

That's a serious question, what does Win11 give you that Win10 doesn't? Why would anyone sidegrade from 10 to 11?

Since this is the "Questions to ponder" thread...... you have a great question!

(I didn't say I wanted to, just curious if I am able if forced to, as the uptake is going to be so bad that I suspect that some type of force will occur!)

(Also everything I run, worked under XP)

HelloThere: Is the world round or flat?

Neither. It's an irregularly shaped ellipsoid. Or an oblate spheroid depending on your preferred term.

Is the glass half full or half empty?

Again, neither. The vessel is twice as large as it needs to be :-)

On a scale of baked potato chips to irregular French verbs, how would you rate the film "Kin-dza-dza!" (from the movies thread)?

Heh, considering there isn't one single killer feature in Windows 11, the question really is, why would you pay x amount in hardware to upgrade to Windows 11 in the first place?
