johno1234: Cats usually bury their poo and most dogs leave it in a prominent pile.

Can you please tell the cats who shit on my lawn and amidst my wife's flowers and plants that they're doing it wrong.

Hedgehogs?  They're go-anywhere critter.  We had a poo-llution problem I wrongfully attributed to my neighbour's cat.  A friend suggested it was the spiky hogs.  After I introduced a hedgehog relocation program ... problem solved.  A dead give away for it being hedgehogs is that you don't see any fresh poo during winter - when they are hibernating.

In winter heating mode the outdoor unit is blowing cold air - surprise the cats like it.

My thoughts too... however, cold air flow would be coming out of the aircon opening on the side next to the path...

I did think perhaps the cats were drying their fur with the air flow.

There used to be a cat in the neighbourhood that would crap in the middle of my concrete driveway.

First time that I'd seen a cat do its business in a non-discreet manner. It must have moved away or died, as it didn't go on for too long (luckily).

Did you 'relocate' by 'blowing them away'?

Sometimes I just sit and think. Other times I just sit.

No, just across the creek, behind our place.  They don't come back.
