Does anyone know any lovely cafes that are quiet but also don't mind people staying around a while(I would be offering multiple brews)?

Need a new lovely place to get away from the noisy apartment I live in and have a nice home away from home for my creative work that I do.

Christchurch only of course :)

Not an exact answer as I spend little time in the city, but...

I have to take my Can Am to Ashburton for service etc. and sometimes they have long jobs or are busy and I end up killing 3+ hours.

There is a very obliging Robert Harris about 5 minutes down the road who never seem even slightly bothered that I am loitering in there for so long. Of course, I usually order breakfast on arrival and a drink or two as the time wears on. They have excellent loos as well.

Perhaps it is a Robert Harris thing and you could try one of theirs? Possibly not the finest coffee on the planet (if that is important to you!) but certainly perfectly acceptable.

What does the "max working temperature" mean for water storage tanks?

I'm looking to buy one, mostly for emergency/quake/council incompetence, but I'm not sure what to make of the max temperature.

All the tanks that mention it are medium density polythene, but not all suppliers/manufactures list the specification on their website.

Does this mean I need to keep my tank out of sunlight? (None of the tanks I'm looking at can be fully buried)

Is it only an issue for empty tanks, rather than full ones that can transfer the heat into the water?

Does fly spray expire? I feel I'd have better luck drowning these flies in what I am using now. It's a year old though.

Once upon a time ago I read that if it is hot enough flies can metabolise fly spray out of their bodies before it kills them. So spray once to slow them down and then spray again to deliver a satisfying coup de grace!

When I drove across the Auckland Harbour Bridge this morning I noticed the flags were at half mast. Anyone know why?

This one?

No, but it looks like it's got a Bluetooth symbol, so maybe to force pairing with the remote control?
