Given their pretty poor response on this, if anyone is interested in deleting their information from MightyApe either out of privacy concerns, or just as a message to them (hoping that a lot of people will do this en-mass then feel free to use this template.

Please permanently delete my account and all personal data you hold about me under the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020. This includes (but is not limited to:)

  • My customer account and login credentials
  • Order history and purchase data
  • Saved addresses, payment methods, and contact details
  • Any marketing preferences, tracking data, or profile information
  • Any data shared with third parties

This is a request for complete erasure, not just account closure.

My account email is: [your email address]

Please confirm once this has been done, or advise if any part of this request cannot be fulfilled and why.

Alternativly, if anyone is interested in supporting them still, go buy a touch of irony from them: https://www.mightyape.co.nz/mn/buy/mighty-ape-remedies-for-breach-of-privacy-26859890/

It still working for me and has all the time. Do you get a special message or the site just won't load?

There’s a similar thing that happens with mightyape parent brand Kogan. I manage Kogan mobile accounts for multiple family

members, and if I log into one account, log out and log into a different account it still show the account details from the previous log in. That’s been an issue for years which I’m surprised hasn’t been resolved.

I get this too on Android Chrome browser.

Site loads with no issues when I use Samsung Internet browser. Also loads fine when using Chrome desktop.

Has anyone worked out what they did yet e.g enable source IP based sticky sessions on their load balancers or added caching that also cached auth tokens?

While it's a regrettable situation, seems like a miss for others not to learn from it.

So I have not heard back from Mightyape despite multiple emails.

@insane I suspect caching auth tokens / cookies from what I experienced.
