Have purchased from Chinese manufacturers before. Got items to retail for $5 to $10 that others were retailing for $20+ for as low as 60c-$1.50 per item. But when you have to buy 5,000 of each SKU, with no mix and match, with no trial items, and no kind of recourse, it does get a bit hairy!

www.dealextreme.com is a good place to start if you're after cheap toys.. I've purchased plenty from them and had no issues other than slow shipping at times (2-4 weeks).

As for other sites for cheap goods it depends exactly what you are after

I'm looking for a mini-ITX 4-bay hot-swap Chenbro case that, so far, only can be found on US stores and eBay.

I second DealExtreme. I've purchased a few things from them now with zero hassles. I ordered an iPhone charger from them a couple of weeks ago for around NZ$6.50 all up and it arrived within 5 calendar days.

I've just ordered an iPhone car cradle and car charger today for around NZ$12.00 all up. Can't beat that for value!

Oh, and I've used these guys once too (Japan imports) to import an Onkyo sound card for my HTPC.  Seemed reliable and reasonably priced at the time.

Can anyone help to research this company: Evergain Electronics Co Ltd. I'm trying to buy car stereo there and was interested how legit they are.
Thanks!

Hi VVK. It's a good idea to pop over to the Introductions forum to say hi before posting here, just so we get to know the users a bit more.

Does Evergain Electronics have a website at all?

Hi Magu! I wish i research the forum before posting, So, hi, to everybody :)
Seems like Evergain doesn't have the website. I found them thought alibaba search: http://www.alibaba.com/member/hk107211641.html.
Just got an email from them. They only accept western union... If i can pay with paypal, i wouldn't worry too much, but WU seems little to risky.
Any ideas?

I would stay away from websites that only take Money Orders or Western Union.
