Yes there is a box on the ticket for occupation but it makes no difference at all if it's filled in or not.

nate:I can't fathom how your job affects the outcome...

Well when I was accosted by a cop in the street because he didn't like the way I pressed the crossing signal button (I just think he didnt' like the way I look) he damn near arrested me - when he took my details I said "Graphic Deisgner" and his whole attitude changed and he became pleasant and let me go.

So I guess it CAN affect the outcome, haha.

Handsomedan: I thought it might be because everyone hates lawyers...so if you admitted to being one, the fine would increase exponentially...

Yes well I am a lawyer and when I am ever stopped (happens, mostly asking 'did you see x') I say lawyer, though do ensure I say 'of the commercial rather than criminal variety'.

He told me I was comitting vandalism. (Hey, I was dressed in black, I MUST be up to no good)

I've since seen the same guy giving people grief whlist on the beat.

If they ask you that, say the following:

"Writer"
Cop: "Oh, what do you write?
"Wrongs."

Hat tip to Te Radar.....cant wait to try that on with customs
