Firebug's a good one for debugging JS (a lot of my software is written with the ExtJS library for the UI) but it's a memory hog. After a day of development my Firefox process is using atleast 1GB of memory, usually around 1.5GB.

That's my biggest pet peeve, with extensions Firefox is a huge memory hog. I get the same issues if I watch lots of YouTube, it bloats out really badly.

Most interesting mixture. Adblock plus seems to the most prevalent, followed closely by Web Developer.
I was looking for a "down the side" tab list as well, so thx FriedCrumpet.
One thing I would like is an instant "copy to note", and the notes are kept across sessions. Opera has that, and I use that feature frequently when I'm researching.

And a "go to Web Address" when a non-http formatted link is highlighted, not a "Search with Google"

Sorry, I forgot to respond to this in my original post. I used Xmarks for a while (and Google's sync before that) but I've now started using Mozilla Weave for the past few months. It does everything XMarks does plus history, saved forms details, saved passwords (naughty naughty!), preferences etc (you can also choose what to sync, or just have 1-way sync). There are security implications in that your details are stored on their servers but you have 2 passwords when using the system, one you normal Mozilla account login, and another which is your encryption key for your details. The decryption happens client side so the Mozilla server never sees an unencrypted version of your details. It's quite cool in that it even transfers over your tab state, so you get an extra option in your history for "Tabs from other computer X". One advantage of Xmarks is being able to store the sync data to your own server for extra security, it would be nice if Weave implemented this.

Use Linkification, it makes any non-http formatted link clickable automatically so you don't even have to right click

right click link also comes in handy were linkification fails. e.g. google.co.nz will not be detected by linkfication as there is no www or http
