I spend $24.06 a month ($6.015 a week) on 98 octane and get an average of 34.367 Km/L on my Vespa. Even when you factor in the ACC costs when registering it (that adds another $37.64 a month), it is still less than what it costs to commute daily on the bus (which $160 a month, or $99 for a pass), plus I get to come and go as I please.

rscole and i work at the same place and do 25-30km of travel each way per day to get into work in the city..even tho my car isnt that fuel effiecent 10L/100km .its still way cheaper and way faster than commuting via public transport from Porirua to WLG city ..more reliable too.

$0 - I cycle to work - about a 9km journey, and it takes the same amount of time (or less in rush hour) as it used to to drive.

(Yes, I still drive a car and pay road taxes etc...)

In the UK It costs me about £65 to fill up with Diesel which last for a little over 2 weeks.
The prices are £1.20.9 for Unleaded and £1.21.9 for Diesel.

I need to start cycle commuting again. In the meantime: I have a Falcon AU Sports, 4.0 litre engine with a 70 litre fuel tank.

At $1.819 it costs me around $105.00 to fill up (tank not quite empty & 6c/litre discount voucher) and I'll do a minimum of 560km made up of about 60/40 highway/town driving.

The one tank will get me through a fortnight of commuting which includes driving in and out of town a couple of times each day on Saturday and Sunday.

garvani: My 2 litre Turbo Forester drinks about $50 a fortnight, i only live 1km from work though, other than that it gets me to the gym and back.. so doesnt get a hell of a lot of use, im glad too :)

you drive 1KM to work buy a push bike and save money on the Gym membership

mine's a lowly 1.3ltr Toyota corolla (limited ed Challenger ) costs me 25 bucks a week of 95

Costs me around $105 to fill up a 2L V6 Cefiro 60L tank with 91, I try to stretch one tank per fortnight. I drive around town for work but have to cover my own transport costs.

As a side note, my partners step-father recently retired and has started to pay for petrol for the first time ever (always had a company car)... he's not a happy man! haha

I have a 3L, V6 Cefiro and I haven't filled it up yet, but $50 gets me about 1/2 a tank and 2 weeks running. Just.

Cost me about $100 a tank on my Lexus IS200 back in '08 which did me for a fortnight from the Shore to Grafton.

£99 a month for unlimited zone 1-2 tube travel does me for work and 98% of my other activities now (bar work trips).
