I wake up to a beeping alarm on my watch. Never suffers from power outages, and very seldom has a flat battery.

kind regards Andrew TD

Wake up to a battery powered alarm clock whilst at home, or PDA alarm when travelling

that would be an ecumenical matter

I waake up to the incessant chattering of Mr 3 and Mr 5 discussing the merits of waking up Mum & Dad.

I don't have quiet children.

I have my iPhone sitting in a Sony Clock/Radio/Dock (necessary to keep the bloody thing charged each day), running Awaken which lets me set up custom alarms which fade in, along with the brightness fading in, so if the soft music (usually Natalie Merchant) doesnt wake me up, the bright screen lighting does.

There is an iPad version as well, but doesnt seem to turn on the screen.

I wake up to a family of seagulls that have appeared to have moved on to several roofs surrounding my house. Wouldn't be so annoying if it weren't for the fact that I live 20 minutes from the ocean in the middle of suburbia...

I wake up to 3 degrees C in my bedroom. The downfall to having a lounge sized bedroom I guess.

I wake up to pretty much nothing.  The alarm goes off multiple times but I don't hear it.  The cats are very insistant on getting fed and being let out but they don't bother me.  Then my wife gets up and has her shower and I don't notice and finally she will call me until I wake up at last.

What's the upside, out of interest? :)

I wake up to the chirping of birds.

Not really, it's more like incessant barking of dogs, screaming of kids (not mine), processions of people up and down the wooden floor hallway in their damn clodhopper boots, clients txt'ing me to say that they can't live without some inane little pointless thing for a minute longer and I must go and deal to them NOW, and of course the cats yowling and clawing at my bedroom door trying to get in by ripping it off it's hinges.

And that's WITH ear plugs!
