BlakJak:tardtasticx: CD-RW
I don't have any blank CD-R's. I have plenty of blank DVD's and one CD-RW (the one in question). Should I buy a blank CD-R to try?
I'm glad someone thought to ask, because I dismissed this is as obvious. Read-Writable disks are entirely different in composition to CD-R Disks. You need to use -R (or +R), finalised, one-write disks if you want to emulate Audio CD's.

I also wouldn't bother with the specialist "audio" CD-Rs, last time I looked they were rather expensive. A reasonable quality CD-R written at low speed and finalised should do the job but it may be necessary to try a few different brands to find one the CD player likes.
